Keeping our Promise to the 110 Babies
Reflection from our founder Terrisa Bukovinac, on the stone dedication for the grave site of the remains of the 110 smaller babies who were recovered outside the DC all-term abortion business in a box on the sidewalk and then laid to rest last year:
This week, a headstone was dedicated at the grave of the 110 smaller babies Lauren and I recovered from a medical waste box last year. The 5 older babies we found showed wounds consistent with federal crimes (including violations of the Partial Birth Abortion Ban Act and the Born Alive Infant Protection Act) but the smaller babies were killed legally and we wanted to ensure that they received a proper burial, a burial the DCPD and Mayor Bowser would never give them.
These 110 babies were badly pulverized by a suction machine but you could still see their tiny hands and feet ripped from their bodies, you could see their rib cages and spinal cords snapped in half. They were small but they were human and they were murdered by Cesare Santangelo the Butcher of DC.
The babies were buried by a Catholic priest in a private cemetery in a location which I regrettably cannot reveal. It is painful to me that their grave cannot be accessed by the public so that we can mourn as a community for these babies and for the billions of babies murdered by abortion globally.
I am grateful though for this stone to remember them which was gifted by generous donors and I am grateful that Lauren, Our Director of Activism, and I were able to keep our promise to the driver who gave us the box, that we would ensure they received a burial and a funeral. Thank you to everyone who cared for these children and helped along the way.
We will continue to fight for #JusticefortheFive babies who remain in the hands of the DC medical examiner. With the help of congress we can have hearings for these children. We can show the American people what abortion does to a human being. And we can finally pass a national ban on abortion at viability.
Call your Congress people today and demand #JusticeForTheFive
