Land Acknowledgment
We at PAAU, being based in the DC metropolitan area, want to acknowledge the rightful owners of the land we often stand on, the Nacotchtank and the Piscataway people.
In the loss of their homes, property and safety, we continue to perpetuate generations old cycles of violence. We understand this violence will only be mitigated by listening to the needs of Indigenous peoples, their leaders & elders as well as creating opportunities for Indigenous sovereignty, land repatriation, community growth, and advancement.
