WASHINGTON, D.C.—Activists from Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising (PAAU) announce a week of direct action on behalf of the five aborted late-term babies recovered from a medical waste box outside notorious late-term abortionist Cesare Santangelo’s decades-old abortion business.
Progressive pro-life leaders, organizers, and their life-affirming allies from accross the country will travel to the nation’s Capitol demanding #JusticeForTheFive at Santangelo’s Washington-Surgi Center, the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office, the U.S. Department of Justice, and the White House.
On March 25, PAAU founder and executive director Terrisa Bukovinac and PAAU director of activism Lauren Handy were given access to a box of fetal remains by a medical waste truck driver. Inside the box were the bodies of approximately 115 aborted children, five of which appear to have been killed in the late second and early third trimester.
Medical experts who have examined the photos captured by Terrisa Bukovinac indicate Santangelo is likely guilty of federal crimes including violations of the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act, and the Partial-Birth Abortion Act.
In 2013, Live Action released undercover footage of Santangelo saying he would leave a baby to die if born alive during his procedure.
Since the discovery in March there’s been a growing outcry from pro-life leaders and everyday Americans from across the political, generational, class, and ideological spectrum calling for an autopsy for these babies.
Nearly 100 members of Congress have signed letters to D.C. Mayor Bowser, D.C.P.D, and U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland, demanding an investigation into the deaths, and to hold Santangelo accountable for his crimes.
PAAU will announce a $25,000 reward for any whistleblower willing to come forward with information that leads to the conviction of Santangelo at the Washington Surgi-Center this Wednesday during a press conference.
