PRO-LIFE LEFTISTS TARGET CVS & WALGREENS IN NATIONWIDE PROTESTS
Washington, D.C.— Tomorrow, February, 4th, 2023, a coalition of pro-life groups across the country led by the Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising (PAAU) will protest at 95 CVS, Walgreens, and Rite Aid retail stores for taking steps to sell the abortion pill in-store.
The widespread sale of chemical abortion drugs at retail pharmacies would turn thousands of local pharmacies across the nation into killing centers.
A list of protest cities can be found here.
Partnering organizations include: Rehumanize International, Pro-life Action League, Society for Truth and Justice, Pro-life San Francisco, Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust, Citizens for a Pro-life Society, Life Advancement Group, Democrats for Life, Democrats for Life of Michigan, Protect Life Michigan, Secular Pro-life, and Live Action.
These coordinated protests are prompted by the FDA’s recent deregulation of the abortion pill allowing retail pharmacies to carry and sell the abortion pill (mifepristone). CVS and Walgreens have publicly announced they’re seeking certification. In addition to these nationwide protests, PAAU is also calling for a unified boycott of these two businesses.
PAAU founder and executive director, Terrisa Bukovinac says “CVS, Walgreens, and Rite Aid have revealed themselves to desire a share of the profits in the worst genocide of our generation. Their vision to turn pharmacies into abortion businesses will be countered by nonviolent resistance at every turn. Tomorrow is just the start. There will be more protests and actions to come unless CVS and Walgreens decide to abandon their exploitative and murderous agenda.”
Caroline Taylor Smith, PR Director for PAAU added, "The Abortion Industry is working to expand further into our communities, but despite the slick propaganda, we know the abortion pill is dangerous to abortion seekers and their children. Biden's pro-abortion FDA has compromised their mission to preserve health and safety in order to line the pockets of Big Abortion and Big Pharma."
