PROGRESSIVE PRO-LIFE ACTIVISTS CLOSE MARYLAND ABORTION BUSINESS
Today, Saturday, January 21st, one day before the 50th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, 23 activists with the Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising (PAAU) attempted to enter three Maryland abortion businesses simultaneously to offer pink roses and financial support for the parents inside. The businesses included Silver Spring Gynecology and Family Planning, Potomac Family Planning Center, and Partners in Abortion Care.
Upon arrival at all three locations, activists were met with a police presence. At the Potomac location, there was also a press photographer present. At the Silver Spring location, activists discovered that the facility had been closed for the day in anticipation of the #PinkRoseRescue.
The Potomac facility is notorious for being an unsafe environment. Countless reviews on Google have told stories of horrible experiences, including calling this facility a “puppy mill” as well as one women describing being sexually assaulted at this this killing center.
To finish this morning of action, the rescuers then gathered at the complex that includes Partners in Abortion Care, a recently opened “all-trimester abortions spa.” The activists disrupted the complex in order to tell the other businesses that they were working next to a business that kills children for profit. This action lasted about 30 minutes with no disruption by the police who were present.
Terrisa Bukovinac, founder and executive director of PAAU said “While it’s concerning that our plans were clearly leaked to the police and the media, we are elated that no unborn children will be murdered today at Silver Spring Gynecology. Lives were saved today. We will continue our mobilization efforts and plans to enter abortuaries to rescue children all across the globe.”
