My First Rescue

I did my first Rescue at 16 with Joan Andrews Bell. If I did not have her encouragement, I would never have had the courage to Rescue that day. I would not have the courage to CONTINUE to Rescue. Lauren, Joan, and Randall put abortion into perspective for me in January of 2023.

"Radical acts of violence need to be met with radical acts of love,” Lauren told me the day before the Rescue. It was at that moment, when I was surrounded by support and encouragement from some of the most legendary Rescuers, that the entire course of my life literally shifted.

In less than a year, I have committed my entire life to pro-life activism. The incarcerated Rescuers have already shaped the next generation of Rescuers. I am proof.

I would not be anywhere near where I am today if I didn't hear those words Lauren told me that day, or if Joan wasn't outside that clinic the day I Rescued and told me to "remember who i'm doing this for.”

Rescue is the past, present, and future of our movement.

Long Live Rescue!
