PAAU ACTIVISTS ARRESTED AT THE WHITE HOUSE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- This afternoon at approximately 4pm, three activists with the Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising were arrested after locking themselves together in front of the White House in Washington DC. The three activists wore makeup and costumes to represent three oaborted babies Christopher X, Harriet, and Pheonix killed by Cesare Santangelo at the Washington Surgi Center. This action came a year and a half after the discovery of 115 aborted babies outside a DC abortion business by the group.

Caroline Taylor Smith, Executive Director of PAAU and one of the activists arrested today said, "We are here in solidarity with aborted children, calling for an autopsy for the 5 late-term victims of Santangelo still waiting frozen at the Medical Examiner's Office. Time is running out for these babies, and we must take drastic steps towards justice for them! Risking our freedom is the least we can do for these children. We DEMAND that an autopsy be performed NOW!"

Elise Ketch, another activist arrested today and the Digital Content Strategist for PAAU added, "The Society of Family Planning found that the method of abortion Santangelo uses on viable babies has a 50% failure rate. There is good reason to suspect three babies were killed with illegal procedures or left to die. Only their autopsy can disprove this. If DC government won't order an autopsy, then we'll agitate to get the most powerful people in the country to call for it. Viable babies are killed just two miles from the White House every day. I love these babies and I'll get arrested for them again."

Dana Dimattia, another arrested activist with PAAU said, "Every Halloween we love to rush to all of our parties with our scary costumes and watch all of the gory slasher films with such anticipation. But when asked to face the brutality and true horror of abortion we are told it’s disgusting and there is no place for that. This action is a reminder to all of us that we can not waste another year being oblivious and apathetic. Just like today as we celebrate horror, we need to be reminded of the horrific evil we allow everyday, before, after and on Halloween. This year, instead of trying to remember the names of Jason, Michael Myers and Freddie Kruger, let us remember the faces and names of Harriet, Christopher and Phoenix." 

Just before the arrests took place, members of PAAU were handing out fliers which ask the public to call the Medical Examiner and demand an autopsy NOW. The QR code in this flier leads to this website, a landing page describing Santangelo's dangerous deeds and PAAU's call to action.
