PRO-LIFE LEFTISTS TARGET CVS & WALGREENS IN NATIONWIDE PROTEST
Washington, D.C. (Monday, January 9th, 2023) — This evening, the Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising (PAAU) has announced nationwide protests and a boycott campaign against CVS and Walgreens retail stores for taking steps to sell chemical abortion drugs, turning thousands of local pharmacies across the nation into abortion businesses.
On February 4th, protests will take place in more than 8 U.S. cities including: Washington D.C., San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York City, Detroit, Austin, and Atlanta, with more cities to be added in the coming days.
These coordinated protests are prompted by the FDA’s recent deregulation of the abortion pill allowing retail pharmacies to carry and sell the abortion pill (mifepristone). CVS and Walgreens have publicly announced they’re seeking certification. In addition to these nationwide protests, PAAU is also calling for a unified boycott of these two businesses.
PAAU founder and executive director, Terrisa Bukovinac says CVS and Walgreens are not only guilty of trying to directly profit from the deaths of defenseless humans, they will soon be complicit in the normalization of unborn child killing. Progressive pro-life people recognize the eugenic nature of these efforts which disproportionately targets low income communities and communities of color across America, and we will stand against this injustice!”
Caroline Taylor Smith, PR Director for PAAU added, "The FDAs complete disregard for the health and safety of pregnant people in favor of growing the power of the Abortion Industrial Complex is abhorrent. Since 2000, the Abortion pill has caused more than 28 deaths and is 4 times more likely to result in an ER visit than a surgical abortion. The anti-abortion movement must amass our people power against this reckless, money-hungry, and anti-women crusade.”
