FAQs 〰️

  • Divesting from Big Abortion means non financial cooperation with those entities directly collaborating with the abortion industry. Because money is fungible, giving funds to CVS, Walgreens or Rite Aid will be direct aid to an abortion business.

  • CVS and Walgreens still need to hear from you! These powerful corporations need to feel the pressure of losing brand loyalty in pro-life parts of America.

  • Call CVS, Walgreens and Rite Aid corporate and local offices to express your disapproval. You can also dissuade your local pharmacy from seeking certification to dispense the abortion pill by calling and organizing a protest on this day.

Organizer Tools

Resources from our partners at Pro-life Action League to help make your protest a success:

Protesting a Walgreens, Rite Aid, or CVS store is a pro-life activity that anyone can take on, and the resources provided here will make it as easy as possible. If at any point you have questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to contact the organizing team. We’re here to help!

Your protest will consist of a public witness of signs, banners, and literature distribution to alert the public and drug store operators of their involvement in the abortion business.

Below you’ll find links to pages with specific instructions on different aspects of organizing a protest. You’re the organizer, so feel free to use as much or as little of the provided resources as makes sense for your situation.

You can organize your protest in whatever manner works best for you and your volunteers. You can have volunteers hold signs in fixed positions on the public way, or form a marching picket line. You may wish to stand outside the entrance to the drug store to hand out literature, but be aware that many stores entrances are on private property, so if the staff asks you to leave their property, you will need to comply (see the link on distinguishing public and private property below for more info on how to figure out where public property begins and ends).

Thanks for being a part of this important pro-life effort, and again, if you have any questions or need any help organizing or promoting your protest, please reach out!

  • Passing out pro-life literature is an excellent way to share the pro-life message. Distributing literature to your fellow citizens is one of your most fundamental rights. In fact, this form of expression is specifically what the First Amendment was designed to protect!

  • Though it’s very unlikely, there is a small chance that you may attract counter-protesters at any pro-life event you may host. If any should show up, don’t panic, and follow the instructions below. Typically counter-protest groups are not large and will not interfere with your event. They want to make their voice heard, and they have the right to do that in the public square.

  • You can make impact of your pro-life activism go farther by earning coverage by the local media. Abortion is a hot-button issue that’s frequently in the news. If you present your story in a compelling way, reporters will often want to cover it—if you can get that story in front of them.

Use these guidelines to increase your chances of earning media coverage.

  • Pro-life events like protests and rallies are typically held on public property, where your First Amendment rights are protected. But how can you tell what’s public property and what’s private? Fortunately, there are some easy ways to figure out exactly where you can hold your event without disruption from abortion facility employees, business owners, or the general public.

  • It’s important to document any pro-life event you host. By taking photos and video, sharing them online, getting a good headcount and tracking any news coverage you get, you can extend your impact far beyond the day of the event itself. And you’re building a record of your activities that will serve you in the future.

Follow these guidelines to document your pro-life event for the greatest impact.

  • Promoting your pro-life event is one of the most important steps you’ll take, and the best way to ensure a great crowd.
