7 ANTI-ABORTION ACTIVISTS ARRESTED AT RAYBURN DEMANDING #JUSTICEFORTHEFIVE
WASHINGTON D.C.—This morning at approximately 10:20am activists with the Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising (PAAU) conducted a protest outside Rayburn US House of Representatives building to demand #JusticeForTheFive babies discovered by PAAU activists last year. Holding images of the victims, the activists then moved into the street and blocked traffic in both directions. Police arrested 7 of the activists as they sang and chanted calling upon congress to hold hearings for the babies and to pass a national abortion ban at viability.
The activists who were arrested include: Terrisa Bukovinac, Constance Becker, Elise Ketch, Caroline Smith, Melanie Salazar, Robert Byrd, and Kristin Turner.
They have all been released from custody.
On March 25th 2022, PAAU leaders Terrisa Bukovinac and Lauren Handy discovered the bodies of 115 aborted babies in a box outside the Washington Surgi Center, and abortion business operated by Cesare Santangelo, the Butcher of DC. Five of the babies recovered were far beyond the age of viability and three showed wounds consisted with violent violations of federal law including the Partial Birth Abortion Ban Act and the Born Alive Infant Protection Act.
Upon her release PAAU founder and executive director Terrisa Bukovinac said “Justice delayed is justice denied. These babies are murder victims and it’s time for their killer to be held to account. We are demanding that congress act by giving these babies their day in court and to pass a national ban on abortion after a baby is old enough to survive outside the womb to ensure these crimes against humanity never allowed to happen again.”
